As for the movies, I enjoyed Superman, and found Pirates adequate. I admit, I've never read a single comic book. So, I see these movies based off of comic books with no knowledge of how well they are translated to film, or how true to the comic book series they are. However, I really enjoyed Superman, mostly for Kevin Spacey and Parker Posey. In my opinion, Spacey did a superb job, far surpassing Hackman's Luthor. But, that's just my opinion. Pirates, on the other hand, was pretty meh. The first callback to the rum joke was amusing. The following 50, however, were just annoying. Aside from the lack of character development, I also hated the fact that we got NO closure whatsoever. I think that pissed me off more than anything.
Let me know is Clerks II is any good. I'm on the fence about seeing it.
wow, this is one long-ass comment. Sorry.
