Rock climbing and socially distanced visiting.

I went rock climbing in the morning and was very annoyed that the route I wanted to do had a point in it that was too difficult for me. It was supposed to be a 5.8, but in the middle there was a move where my foot was above my waist and I was supposed to be able to swing my weight up over it to continue the route. Nope. Not happening. So I cheated and used another routes foot hold that was a bit lower and finished the route. ARGH.

I came home and Pat and I skyped with our friends in Germany. It was good. Man, Omicron is crazy over there, and they are having problems with people who refused to be vaccinated as well. The anti-vaxxers invade small towns in 1,000 person groups and walk through the main roads, making it impossible for the locals to either be out or to avoid them. They claim they just all came for a walk. What they're doing is demonstrating but this is their way of getting around having to have permits and for people to know in advance. ARGH.

We took a nap after that and then got dressed and ready for an evening at a friend's home. Everyone was spread out throughout the house and wearing masks. We were all there to see a friend who now lives in North Carolina who had come to visit. It was nice and everyone was being really careful.

Pat is off to jury duty this morning and I am off to work.  The headache I woke up with seems to be wearing off. This is good because it's going to be a busy day.
