All Quiet on the Watch...

[It's rather late at night when a lone raven finds itself perched rather precariously on the branch of a tree not-too-far away from the inn. At a quick glance, it appears normal, nothing out of the ordinary. Those in tune with the ley-lines of the area would soon discover that the bird was not all it seemed...but something much greater. [A lonely figure wanders in the night, a long, dark cloak whispering against the saronite plate. Noticing the raven perched on the gnarled branch, he stops. Not acquainted with the arcane magic, but the bird's presence perturbs his tainted aura. Narrowing his eyes, the ice-blue stare meets the glowing red stare.]

[Truthfully, he couldn't recognize the essence behind the raven's form... but he could indeed perceive the strange mysticism in him] Simple eyes would see the feathers of a bad omen. Though... I believe there is more. [So much more.]

[The shadow of a clever twinkle appears in the raven's eyes for a split-second before it spreads its wings again to rebalance itself on the branch. When it glances down at the Death Knight again, it caws, almost like a question waiting to be answered.]

[Chromie exits from the inn's backdoor, carrying a very large bag of feed in her arms. As she heads towards the stables, she stops, noticing the raven.

After a pause, she turns a bit to head towards it, a slight smile on her face. When she's close enough, she sets the bag down, grabs a handful of the grain, and tosses it out to the raven.]

Here you are, sir.
