Hiya!

Hey everyone, I've been posting a few comments but figured that I'd make a "hello, I'm new...ish" post. I am just loving how active this community is, and it doesn't make me feel quite so alone being a girl and playing WoW.

What I want to know is...has WoW actually done anything good for you too? Let me 'splain.

Last October I herniated a disk in my spine and couldn't sit at ALL, could barely stand, and had to lay in bed all day. Through misdiagnoses of my doctor, and all my specialists being hard to get in to, at the age of 21 I had to lay in bed for 3 months between October and December, until I had surgery.

I'd been playing WoW for a few years and had gotten out of it a bit, but when I got hurt I found that it was a real comfort. I could barely dress myself, but in game I could run around, shoot firebolts at people, socialize (my friends came to visit and my boyfriend stayed night, but everyone had to work during the day) and such. I really think it's one of the things that helped pull me through, and not make me gouge my own eyes out just for fun :)

Just wondering if any of you fine ladies had a similar situation. If this is too long for your lj please let me know and I'll make a cut. Thanks :)

P.S. Anyone play on jaedenar? I know, our population is 5 horde, 1 alliance. just wondering!

Edited for my bajillion spelling mistakes. I need to slow down a bit when i type. sheesh.
