Returning after a lonnng break... any advice?
Hello, all! I'm coming back to WoW following a break that began just before the release of Cataclysm, so needless to say I have a lot of catching up to do and adjustments to make. Presently I'm patching to the latest update (which is taking about a million years), but I want to make sure I'm not totally blown away and left in the dust by the changes made in Cata.
My main is a lvl 80 assassination rogue, and I'm hoping beyond hope that assassination is still a relevant spec, because I loved it. I've done some research as to what a proper build should resemble, rotation, etc, but do you have any advice on what I should expect beyond that? Will my gear be so woefully out of date that I shouldn't show my face in a WotLK heroic just to get back into the swing of things?
I also have a lvl 50 elemental shaman, but I'm not quite as worried about her since I have plenty of time before the level cap to embarrass myself.
Any and all advice, general and specific, would be deeply appreciated (as would guild recs because I'll be desperately lonely)! And if you frequent Zul'jin and happen to see a night elf named Kadeima or a draenei named Kooza running around like a chicken with its head cut off, feel free to say hi!
