Warrior Help :D
I asked a few months ago for help getting my DPS to a level somewhere decent.
And through this comm's help, I'm finally decent! I'm one of the higher DPS in my raid group now as well, which is a warm fuzzy feeling for this player who was always bottom of the charts.
Now I'm here again for some more help, because I know I could be doing more damage and there are tweaks to be had somewhere, but I cannot figure out what those tweaks should be. I do on average 15-17K damage, occasionally in the 20K range depending on the fight. I've heard from various places I could be doing 20K average in general, however, which would help ENORMOUSLY with our Ragnaros attempts as I'm one of two melee who are assigned to slaughtering the sons of flame closest to his hammer (and yet my rogue partner always has to help me kill my guy despite slaughtering his own without help).
Here is my gal.
Her rotation is colossus smash -> raging blow - > bloodthirst -> slam on cooldown -> heroic strike for excess rage / whirlwind and cleave if there are multiple guys in the area and excess rage, then repeat as cooldowns are up, execute if it's up. I have a few DPS boosting abilities I use when I can- Recklessness, the use ability on my 'apparatus' item, and my engineering tinker that increases Strength by 480.
(I'm not yet fully enchanted mostly due to lack of gold [blew a bunch getting my weapon enchants and don't have the Fireland dailies quite unlocked yet] and need rep but haven't unlocked tabards for some factions yet; I am working toward it though. Am aware I have a bit of work ahead of me for those things.)
What I'm mostly wondering is: Am I now at the mercy of needing the best enchants on my gear in order to get my numbers up? Or is there something more basic (and not necessarily requiring thousands of gold or rep I don't yet have) I can be doing to get into the 20s?
I would ask guildies but I'm essentially the only fury warrior beyond level 30, eheh.
