Just now I was the victim of the most unfortunate series of events in recorded history.
I'm in Blackwing Lair with my raid. We took down Ebonroc on first try, everything was going well, and to top it off, my gloves dropped! Netherwind Gloves, woooo. And amazingly enough, the two mages I'm competing with for the set are neither in the raid today! Jolly as a jolly thing, I go to check my DKP to see how much I can bid. ..... What the hell? I suddenly have 100 less than I was supposed to! I announce this in guild, no response. I decide to just go ahead and bid the 100 I have, then BAM! Bidding is over. I lose the gloves.
I whispered one of the raid leaders, and she goes and checks what's up with my DKP. Turns out? It was a typo. A TYPO cost me my tier 2 gloves, which went for min bid to a mage who had 160 less DKP than I had. I would have got them so, so cheap.
There's probably some people who would have /gquit over this, but I love my guild, and I love our raid. That doesn't mean I'm not very, very, -very- upset. Who knows when I'll get those gloves now?
