Dear RPers.. I has an odd.
So I rolled myself an alt on WrA. I'm a nub at RP. I joined a guild that is full of lawl and awesome. They're more pve oriented with occassional RP on the side - and that's perfect for me! I made a friend outside of guild through LFD. He was a lot of fun to play with and was helping me with my RP shyness. All was going well.
However, lately he keeps trying to seduce my character. I don't have an issue with people having IC relationships in game. However, his idea of IC relationships include loads of ERP - and I'm not cool with that. Hence both my character and I have told him no.
Except now he won't stop trying to expound on how RP doesn't mean anything. Like that'll convince me that ERP is okay. He goes on to tell me over RealID w/e his Worgen on Moonguard (cliched eye roll) is having ERP and how it means nothing to him. Like for instance "I'll brb while she gets her posts in so I can make dinner."
Which leaves me rather uncomfortable. If its so meaningless then why bother? Why not be all /kisshug in public and gloss over the rest of the details and move on with your story? I mean, if you want to - then by all means enjoy! But I don't. He acts like I'd be breaking character. I'm pretty certain he's being skeezy, especially as he places so very little meaning in relationships. But is this normal for RP realms?
