So, in lieu of many things, I decided to stop being bad and properly learn how to PVE frost. Back in latter Wrath I did dungeons and raided as arcane, but I don't like the feel of it anymore.

While I'm not really interested in raiding new content, I've decided that maybe doing a heroic here and there won't be so bad. I was initially researching ( Read more... )

Well, so far if I've got Brain Freeze and Fingers both proc'd, I use Ice Lance to knock off Fingers and then use Frostfire to see if it'll make Fingers proc again. I'm still relearning though, so I'm not sure if that's the best for that or not :-\

Yeah, I'm still wondering if it's worth it or not. Being raged at when I'm trying to figure it out just kind of made me put it off for the moment :-\

Yeah I had heard that FFB with FoF up is good, buuuuuuut.... I leveled as frost for survivability but switched to fire as soon as I could, and now when I'm soloing with frost my dps is for shit. I've only used it in dungeons a couple of times when the healer was struggling since I hit 85.

The frost spec stat priorities are Intellect > 17% Spell Hit > Crit (33.33%) > Haste > Mastery. Needless to say, the hardest thing to get is your crit level up that high. Fortunately I found a site that shows how to get it, because after you hit the crit soft cap, every shot will crit. The numbers get pretty at that point. :D

Regardless, Blizzard still has to fix the Frost spec. It isn't fair to nerf PVE Frost Mages because of what happens in PVP. And I know Frost Mages who have been told to respec or be left out of their guild's raid.
