[H] The Silver Fang Brigade - Shadowmoon

Feb 11, 2011 15:20

Howdy!

I'm back with more Silver Fang Brigade pimpage. We're currently 4/12 and having a GREAT time! However, we have a healer down. I repeat, a healer down!!! One of our healers, a Shaman, can only make Monday nights. We raid both Monday and Thursday.

If any of ya'll are looking for a dedicated, friendly, fun-environment raid/PvP/social guild, The Silver Fang Brigade may be for you!

We will take all applications seriously, but we're putting a lot of effort into finding a healer who will be able to make both Monday's and Thursday's, as we want to make progress each week without having to explain the fights and "waste" (RL term, not mine) time figuring out what to do with different players.

The Silver Fang Brigade is a fun, friend-run guild that's been around since The Burning Crusade! We are mostly drama free and any drama that arises is quickly taken care of by our caring officers. We're active and there are usually many players on in the evening looking to run new dungeons, both regular and heroics, as well as new members leveling their characters. Our members are fun, quirky, and enjoyable to talk to!

We have a Vent and are currently a level 11 guild! Members are split between casual who just enjoy the game and being in guild with the rest of us, and more serious players who are geared for raid progression!

Currently we're seeking all members, especially those interested in raiding. We would love to have more tanks, but all members are welcome and we will find space for you in a raid group if we can! As of right now we are fresh out of the gate into raiding and going on our second week thus far! Come and be a part of our experiences as we take on the new raids of Cataclysm!!

What We Expect of You
1) Attendance-We understand that things come up but in general we expect all of our raiders to make raid days. If you cannot make a specific raid we understand but please give us as much forewarning as possible. Invites start at 8:45 with the goal of pulling by 9:00. This means unless we have been previously notified at 9:01 you are late.

2) Preparation- We expect our raiders to make sure they are up on the latest theorycraft for their class/spec and informed on mechanics for all progression bosses. In addition we expect raiders to have sufficient consumables on hand and to have done everything they can to maximize their performance in raid (acquiring BoE items and similar).

3) Performance- We expect you to perform competitively in a raid environment both in terms of output and raid awareness. We understand that people make mistakes or have off nights but on balance we expect consistently competitive performance.

What You Can Expect From Us
1) Progression- As a progression raiding guild our goal is to always be progressing quickly and competitively. We will do everything in our power to make this guild progress as fast as possible and are always interested in thoughts on how to improve progression.

2) Loot- Loot is distributed by a loot council who will always do their best to distribute loot fairly and optimally to raid progression. If you have objections about how loot has been distributed you are welcome to bring it up with an officer after raid time.

3) Atmosphere- We attempt to create a fun raiding environment, we try to keep nerd raging to a minimum (we don’t always succeed but we’re working on it) and in general create an atmosphere that people can enjoy being a part of in raids and out.

I've Applied! Now What?
Be patient, an officer should get to your application within 48 hours. If it has been more than 3 days since you posted your app and you have received no response feel free to whisper an officer for information. Guild members may respond and pose questions to you, please answer these to the best of your ability. Once an officer has responded to your application there are three different outcomes.
1) Trial- Your application has been accepted and we are interested in trialing you. The trial period lasts for 2 weeks during which you are expected to have 100% attendance and your performance will be watched carefully. During this trial period you will have no priority on loot unless none of our raiders want it.

2) Denied- We’re sorry but at the moment we do not have a raid spot for you, if in the future you see we have an opening for you class/spec feel free to reapply/bump your application.

3) More Discussion- There may be further questions we would like you to answer or answers to clarify, in certain cases there may be a Ventrilo interview. This step will lead to one of the two options above.

The Application
Step 1: Be sure to read the above information!
Step 2: Copy and paste this and create a new thread with your Name - Class/Spec as the title. (You may log in to the forums using our applicant address! Username: Applicant || Password: Password)
Step 3: Be sure that you are logged out in your PVE gear and spec for which you are applying.

Pro tips: Displaying your ability to spell and form complete sentences will increase your chances by 100%. Be as detailed as possible with your answers, the longer the better. How seriously you take this application process is directly related to how seriously we will consider bringing you into our guild for a trial. Note you will not be able to edit your application once it is submitted, that means test your links (preview button works wonders) and make sure you have answered every question sufficiently before you post.

7.) What is your Main Spec and Off Spec and are both viable raiding options for you in terms of gear, skill and willingness?

13.) How do you feel about bench time?

14.) Previous guild history and reasons for leaving (Please be specific saying “drama” is unhelpful, we aren’t asking you to air the dirty laundry of every previous guild you’ve been in but please be at least somewhat specific)?

16.) Is English your first language? (It's ok if it's not.)

17.) What are your favorite raid encounters and why?

18.) Did you read the above information? Did you post your Name - Class/Spec as the title to this post? Did you use capital letters at the beginning of your sentences, punctuate and use correct spelling on all of your answers to the best of your ability? (This is one question on the application where one simple "Yes," answer will be adequate to all of these. If your answer to these questions is anything but yes then you need to go back and put some more time into it or just stop here and don't waste your time or ours.)

For those of you curious, our forum is located here! the majority of it is member locked, but further information about our guild is located in the Public section! (Please do not post to Raid Registration unless you've become a member of the guild. I'm not sure why that was put there....hehe.)

If you have any further questions, by all means feel free to post here or send me an e-mail at witchdoctor.athdara@live.com
