People don't really want to bother being social in pugs. They want to get their crap done, and leave.

This is true, however things can always go wrong even in easy heroics, shit happens, and having a bad attitude about it doesn't help. I love fast 'Hi pewpew bye' runs too.

I think that is the answer pretty much and they probably thought you werent being serious, which was the reason the group wiped obviously. =S /shrug
Those fast runs to get my emblems and only say what is needed i do myself aswell, but with guildies, friends in the group(or sometimes chatty randoms) im talking more, having fun simply.

Dont think about it too much, they just couldnt understand you really it seems. :)

the heck? i mean, i could understand mild annoyance, but -really-? you went splat, made some jokes, came back... maybe wasted all of what, 30 seconds as a ghoul? not to mention DERP GUILD TAGS UNDER NAMES AND RECOUNT SAYS SAME SERVER DERPDERPDERP.

also i'm not 100% sure because i am only a nublet tankadin but i -think- that heroics d-cap is 535? someone correct me if i'm wrong, but i was told 535 for heroics, 540 for raids. heard 545 once from someone, but i honestly am not positive. :X

You are correct, 535 for heroics, 540 for raids. 545 is wrong. (Except for bears, who do not need defense.)

The word "cap" is also misleading: it should be considered as a "critical minimum". Having more than 540 isn't a bad thing. But, yes, 535 heroics, 540 raids. My warrior actually puts on DPS gear to drop her down to 535 def while picking up more strength, arpen, and crit for heroics. Wheeee, DPS!

Some people get stupid when they get just roll through. I had one group and our tank was TERRIBLE, couldn't hold aggro and was just bad. But they wanted to kick the lowest dps to try and get someone with higher because "it takes too long to reque without a tank." even though the tank was the problem. Sigh.
