Update Tuesday!
Tuesday rolls around again and it's time to update your characters on the Community Roster
Well the good news is that my new raiding guild dropped 15K gold to pay for the Primordial Saronites required to forge my Shadow's Edge. That combined with my newfound 2-piece T10 has me doing so much more damage than before that it's ridiculous. Even my gear score has passed that arbitrarily mythical 5.5K mark. In the time I've been there we've progressed from Putricide to LK in 10-man. Unfortunately, we haven't gone anywhere in 25-man, still stuck on Putricide. I think our raid leaders misunderstand the mechanics of the fight and aren't using the best tactic to defeat the encounter. It's pretty frustrating.
There isn't exactly bad news, but maybe we'll go with ugly news. On Sunday a friend of mine from my previous guild (the one that is much further progressed but didn't have room for me in raids) said that they lost 8 people, apparently from burnout/boredom. She suggested that I contact the GL and see about getting back my spot. I told her that I am "bound to guild" based on the fact that I was gifted the Saronites for my weapon. She told me that I should tell her GL and they'd probably pay the old guild to get me back. The whole exchange left me feeling uncomfortable. I would much prefer raiding with my old guild because I know the people better and I had been part of their progression team from the beginning of Ulduar to the beginning of ToGC. It just doesn't feel right borrowing the new guild's resources, even if I paid them back, especially since the new guild is also hurting for bodies. Ugh.
So have any of you got nice stories of things you've done, or have had done for you this week?
