My first ever level 70 Instance... Magister's Terrace!

Sep 08, 2008 16:15

This afternoon I managed to get myself into a PUG for Magister's Terrace. I've never been there before, so it was all new to me.  The people I grouped with were sooo kind!  See, I've always been afraid to PUG since I've heard horror stories about people being so cruel to others.  I already have low self-esteem, so I don't need that. I made it to 70 ( Read more... )

Congrats on your good MgT run! That's pretty impressive for a first Outlands instance! I've heard it's one of the harder ones - I haven't done it myself.

But I don't think you'll be going to Sunwell Plateau anytime soon unfortunately! It's a raid instance - apparently the hardest raid instance in the game. I don't expect to see it myself, since WoTLK is coming out so soon. :(

Oh, I had no idea Sunwell Plateau was a raid instance. I haven't done any raids. Oh well, I guess I'll start looking at other instances and see what I can start running. My friend told me that MgT is the hardest level 70 Instance, so I'm pleased as punch that I did ok with it. ^.^ I'll definitely be trying for a group to get in there again. I'd love the phoenix pet. ^.^

Gratz on your run, I just went through it for the first time on my hunter last week too (no pet QQ) and it was a lot of fun. Magister's on normal is tougher than some heroics - so if you did well there you would probably be fine for Slave Pens or Ramps on Heroic! I'm working on my lightning shoulders too - gotta get rid of the newbie looking ones. They are the mark of death for a hunter, for they clearly advertise that you are squishy!

As Pana already said though, SWP is the place raids go after they have Illidan on farm.

*nods* Yea.. I just thought it was another instance. =( Oh well.. I don't have my heroics keys for anything other than the Hellfire ones lol. I worry about doing heroics, mainly because my gear isn't great. I've got whatever I picked up over questing. I haven't done instances so no Instance drops; and I don't do raiding so now lovely raiding gear.

Maybe I'll try getting the keys for other heroics and giving them a try; or just doing regular instances for experience (gaming experience). I do want to get the PVP gear though. It looks nifty.

Ooh - do pick those keys up! But yeah, as you get the chance, certainly run normal instances for the rep and drops, and don't be scared of heroics :-) (Says the girl who was terrified to take her hunter into heroics for ages!) Now that I've run Kara a few times and run a few heroics (3 heroics, 3 hunter mail epics!), I'm approaching actual Kara ready stats, lol.

Thanks for the comment! I picked up the heroics key in Zangamarsh last night. I'm not sure where to get other heroics keys lol. I've got the heroics for Magister's Terrace (I think; no key but the quest said it was something I'd get - so is it like being attuned, do you know?), Hellfire instances, and Zangamarsh. I think I need to up my rep with lower city or something to get the heroics keys for the Terrokar instances ( ... )
