My first ever level 70 Instance... Magister's Terrace!
This afternoon I managed to get myself into a PUG for Magister's Terrace. I've never been there before, so it was all new to me. The people I grouped with were sooo kind! See, I've always been afraid to PUG since I've heard horror stories about people being so cruel to others. I already have low self-esteem, so I don't need that. I made it to 70 without doing many instances; none of the Outland ones at all. O.O So today I decided to join the LFG tool and find myself a group for Magister's Terrace where you have to find the spy, etc and wind up with a lovely purple gem and the ability to run Heroics Magister's Terrace.
I told the group when I joined that I was very inexperienced to instances and have never done the Terrace at all. They were soo kind to me. They told me where to place traps, suggested things I had forgotten (like removing growl), and were really nice when I blew something - like the wrong trap once, or not getting distracting shot out (I never use it so didn't have it on a power bar! .. it's there now ^^) - and when I died they were kind about it. I was the one that died most, but I had a blast!
The pheonix pet dropped. OMG it's soo cute! I WANT! I did roll on it but the gal who started the run got it instead. ^.^ There were a couple upgrades for the guys in the group, which was great! I got myself that epic gem and the heroic ability. (Not that I'll try Heroics for a looooong time) I'm closing the gap on my epic flying mount! Whoo!
I got invited to do SLABS by my friend, but naturally he asked me when I had only a half hour to go. =( Dinner, then I shall do more dailies; and when they're done, maybe I'll go work on one of my alts. Honestly though, I'm enjoying Styleen so much! I have Humar as one pet, and Blinkie, a white Warp Stalker as my other. Great fun! I'm also closing the gap on my 2nd PVP gear - the shoulders. I need 11,250 honour and am at 99something right now. I also need 20 AB marks. I've got .. 18 I think.. so not bad. One more run and I'll have my AB marks for the shoulders. I need 30 AB marks for my chest, and then another 14,500 honour. Slowly but surely I'm building up my gear. =) I was thinking of getting the weapons first - either swords or fist weapons (though now I may look to see if there are daggers rather than swords, and go for the faster attacks). My friend suggested gloves then shoulders then chest, legs and head. Gear up first, then weapons.
I'm now thinking I may try hopping in to a pug for the other Isle instance - Sunwell Plateau. Maybe I'll get lucky and find another good group who won't call me down because my gear isn't the best or I goof up. ^.^
