A little analogy for you:
bronchitis : lungs :: schizophrenia : brain
Yup, that's right. Bronchitis (which I seem to have) is one of those catch-alls for medical problems. "Hm, you're coughing, but we have no idea why. Here's a diagnosis of bronchitis and a prescrption for some antibiotics. That'll be 100$. Thank you for waiting 2 hours in our lobby and have a nice day." And then people wonder why guys don't want to go to the hospital/doctor.
Medical science is still crappy. Meh. -_- I blame Bush. And the religious right. And Republicans. And probably my office for alleged mold issues. I'll be rightly cross with them (and probably litigating) if I find out this is a fungal infection of some kind.
But anyway, bronchitis is usually a "wait and see" condition that could last weeks to months to years. I'm not happy.
On the flipside, mayhaps things are looking up. I'm considering applying with Northrup Grumman for their apprenticeship program. Just want to call their advisor before I pony up the nearly 40$ to apply. I should act quickly though.
