Summertime blues, incorporating heatwave holiday

I am back at work, after my four days at Chabaneix and five days in the Cerdagne. The week in the mountains was cooler than it would have been in the Lot, with a cool breeze and the possibility of staying in the flat during the hottest part of the day ( Read more... )

Ugh it always sucks when we have to make decisions to split our time between our human friends and our pet friends. If it helps, I'm sure now that Marco's getting treatment for the fleas, he'll feel better. He might even feel less like chewing on stuff, since I know dogs sometimes do that when they're frustrated (and having the itches like that would be very frustrating!)

Also isn't that odd how it goes like that? Like, when one person falls out of work, somehow everyone does at once? It's so WIERD how it always goes like that, completely coincidentally, but it does!

Is your friend in the hospital okay? I'm really glad you are allowed to visit them. (It sounds like they might be inpatient in psych? I know visiting hours were very strict when I was in the psych ward.)

The flea treatment was helpful, and also Heathcliff turned up at 3.00 am yowling loudly but sleek and healthy. I guess he found someone else to care for him in my absence! Marco was pleased, the other two slightly less so.
My friend was in the psychiatric locked ward and thereby hangs a tale.... I forgot protocol and went to see her and also asked too many questions etc, now I am in trouble at work. The good news is that she is out in an open ward, and I hope that she is doing better.
I wrote a long reply to your last comment and then my iPad blocked and I lost it...and didn’t have the courage to start again. I am pleased that this is now a rare experience, in the early days of blogging (2004/5) it happened one time in three, I am sometimes amazed how I persisted. 😀
