Insane in the membrane
I'm crazy. I know this. You know this. But for some reason some of the things I've done and thought today have made me wonder if institutionalization may not be a bad idea.
Case 1:
Today in Women and Family in Medieval and Early Modern Europe we were talking about nuns and such. All of sudden in my brain that doesn't exactly work I decided to give more thought to the lives of nuns than anyone should. I tried to imagine how nuns pee and poop-- do they pull up the habit or is there some sort of easier way to do it. Do nuns wear bras and panties? If so, do they get them from places like Victoria's Secret or K-Mart or are there special places they order them from. How often do they buy them? Do they care about underwire or such? Are there sassy nuns who tell funny jokes or are nuns too serious to do such? What if life in the convent was like Sister Act? And the like.
Case 2:
Later in that class, we had to choose which woman we wanted to study. My partner and I couldn't decide on whether we wanted to do a prostitute, witch, or nun.... so we tried to convince our professor that there was a sect of Prostitute Nun Witches in Poland at the time and this woman named Slutty McSlutSlut of Slutsville started it. Needless to say, the professor was not convinced.
Case 3:
After lunch, I go to my religion class, which I usually participate in. However today was the day that I snapped and went crazy. I decided that I was angry with the Evangelicals who say taht it is a bad thing to be decendants of monkeys and that I would bitch about them the rest of the class. This is after the girl next to me and I stopped playing the "Which spelling of this name do you like more?" and went through about 30 names. Anyway, who doesn't like a monkey? EVERYONE likes monkeys. Those damn Evangelicals think that were from dirt? WHO LIKES DIRT? NOBODY! When you have dirt on you, you shower to clean it off. When you have a monkey you make funny noises, smile and laugh a lot and enjoy life TREMENDOUSLY!!! Just to prove my point
