(no subject)
these past few days at vcu have been TRES stressful...between buying
books, running around for supplies 24/7, the heat, walking everywhere,
etc...but i can honestly say i love all of my fashion classes!
it's so awesome to be learning so much about something i love! even though we have to learn all the basic stuff first, like how to use a sewing machine, making patterns, drawing, etc...it's still interesting even though it can be hard and tedious! i can't wait until i can start making real clothes! and i actually don't mind doing my homework so far...i actually like most of it! i love hearing my teachers give tips and tell stories and stuff...everyone seems really nice and dedicated. i'm sure there's going to be really hard nights where i have to stay up until 3 AM or something...but i think it will be totally worth it...i'm really fortunate to be doing something that i love and want to pursue a career in...my goal in life is to have my own store/line and sell it to celebrities!! i want stars to go on e! and say "i'm wearing a kristen joswick original" or something...how awesome would that be!! ever since i was a little kid, i remember loving clothes...i've been through so many style changes...i can walk around for hours in stores putting clothes together...i used to play with barbie dolls forever by putting their clothes together and making basic alterations...i used to draw out entire outfits for other dolls i had, etc. yay hurray :-) also, we get to go to nyc this spring break and look at a lot of design-y stuff!!!
and my other classes...for the most part, not that bad. i like my english class and the teacher. we get to write about stuff we're passionate about, so that's always good. biology lecture seems pretty easy. but i HATEEEEEEE biology lab!!! i've always hated science!! i'm not horrible at it, it's just not my thing...i hate having only one right answer for stuff...i like to discuss things and have an opinion and that type of thing. and i HATE doing experiments...i couldn't get the book for the first day because the ATM was broken and they only accepted cash where you paid for it, so i was TOTALLY lost...other people didn't have it either, so that made me feel a bit better. but it still sucks. wah.
so yeah, so far school has been both good and bad...i'm really tired at night like always and i hate going to bed at 11 each night because i have to wake up at 7 the next day...plus i have to work on the weekends and it can be a long drive between richmond and prince george sometimes because i'm so used to it...but for the most part, i'm having fun
