Save the trilobites!

For those of you who don't know yet, the Natural History Museum in Arcata is scheduled to close at the end of August, 2009 because Humboldt State University can't afford it with the budget cuts. However, the Board and a lot of community volunteers want to take it over as Friends of the North Coast's Natural History Museum.

The Museum is the only place within 6 hours' drive for kids to see real fossils (including a LOT of trilobites!) and all the schools in the county rely on it for education about evolution and local flora/fauna.
