49 - "They pose as saints, but are full of lies!" - 'Seven Samurai'

"If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team."

You remember that show? Man, I used to watch that thing all the time. It was such dumb, testosterone-fueled silliness. Ordinary cars and household objects exploded into massive fireballs at the drop of a hat, thousands of rounds' worth of automatic gunfire was exchanged with no one even getting grazed, and somehow, Mr. T wouldn't break people in half for drugging him and throwing him on an airplane.

What there was of the plot centered around ordinary people having to call in these guys because some local thugs or biker gang or whatever were causing trouble in the neighborhood and the cops couldn't or wouldn't take care of things. So, in come this group of guys who were really good at fighting, and they'd clean out the bad guys.

Turns out some folks here in the Uncharted Territories stumbled on that same gig. Of course, things never turn out as neat and tidy as they do on TV. Nope.

Around these parts, the folks who are supposed to be the A-Team are known as Peacekeepers. See what they did there? "Peacekeepers". Sounds perfect, doesn't it? Like they're a bunch of nice, polite yet firm types who can come in, make everybody involved in the dust-up make nice, and then take care of things from there. It's like you expect 'em to be that beat cop who strolls up and down the block, twirling his keys and chatting with the guy who runs the fruit stand.

And then they show up.

The first thing you notice is that Command Carrier. It's big, it's blocky, and it's got more weaponry on its hide than a porcupine's got quills, and they are definitely not for show. Then, those Peacekeepers head on down to the surface of your needy little planet, one of their transport pods flanked by an escort of Prowlers, fighter craft that are just plain mean and pointy-looking. After that, they get out of their ships and it's a parade of black and red leather and very obvious weaponry.

That's about the time you realize that you just hired the bullies to get rid of the thugs. You can imagine how well that usually turns out.
