ITEM! some w.o.agwu "thorts" on strictly come dancing: they've "diluted" it too much by spreading it over the two nights - & most of the results show is filler, while they drag out the suspense as long as possible - mind you, surreal moment of the week = gaptain jack harkness singing* "every little thing she does is magic" last nite - a bit out of tune in places but still better than bluddy sting's cod reggae stylings
* and dancing w/karen hardy, not too bad
so, bye bye penny ( mrs rod the mod, also model & photographer apparently ) - it's peter schmeichel all over again: goob at the ballroom, not so great at the latin american - she didn't deserve to go tho - but out of the final two, matt & flavia were the better dancers ( - thank goobness sharon from eastenders was saved at the last minute - the judges wouldve def. saved either penny or matt over her ) - it was only when i saw penny standing next to matt i realised how tall she really is - wot a glamazon
obv i still want smug eggchaser kenny logan to go out asap - but he's been really clever manipulating the voters - getting sympathy w/his sob stories early on & then amping up the scottishness w/kilts & bagpipes, gulminating in dancing to the scottish national anthem this week - obv that's gonna garner loadvotes from the most patriotic ppl in the world
alas karen, vincente & lilya have gone the way of all flesh but at least my other fave professional dancers gamilla & anton remain in the gompetition ( tho surely anton can't last much longer dragging poor kate garraway's garcass around the dancefloor ) ( gamilla's blue peter bloke might have legs tho ) - lusty idiot kiwi brendan gole = goob value too, obv
i'm still cheering on letitia dean & john barnes - but aleesha probly will win ( & deservedly so, imo ) - poor brucie may well be finally past it - why can't they give him cards to read off? - rather than us having to watch him painfully struggle with the autocue week in, week out - still, he seems to be enjoying himself - o, & i was DELIGHTED to see the wretched rodent don't get dom get dumped last week ( even if it meant bye bye luvly lilya )
ITEM! i'm still hoping we're gonna see evil katie hopkins off the apprentice ( aka the young milanese nightingale ) in this year's "i'm a celebrity get me out of here" ( starts tonite, itv1 ) - she was rumoured to be taking part & wld be a great supersub replacement for malcolm mclaren, who apparently bottled out at the last minute cos he's afraid of snakes & spiders ( - i don't spose he watches much telly... )
this year's line up, afaik: "j" out of 5ive, marc bannerman ( beppe's brother in eastenders ), john burton race ( grumpy chef ), rodney marsh ( legendary qpr & fulham footballer and disgraced pundit ), gemma atkinson ( off of hollyoaks ), anna ryder richardson ( changing rooms designer ), cerys matthews ( ex of popular beat gombo gatatonia ), janice dickinson ( aged model, recently in "beauty & the best" ), lynne franks ( aged pr person & allegedly inspiration for edina monsoon ) - the two baldo smudges out of right said fred are supposed to be going in a bit later, i think
