I encountered Dame Darcy at GRRR! a few years ago. She's very glam, and seemed ultra high-maintenance and diva-ish. I'd certainly watch that show. I like her more as a performer than a cartoonist, actually

I remember enjoying The Bogie Man greatly at the time, but I suspect it helped that I hadn't yet read the comic...

I wouldn't say it was a masterpiece or anything, but it certainly has a bit more bite than the TV version (or at least my recollection of it), which was a bit on the quirky/fluffy side.

OK, that's scary. ross September 1 2007, 12:39:19 UTC
--Though first, thank you for the plug :o) --

Daily I thank whatever powers there be that I chose to dump the gogglebox back in 2002. (Un)Reality TV is the curse of any and all development of the human mind and the very idea of Flavor Of Love is just TERRIFYING.

The first 'terrorist' group whose agenda entails blowing up all the TV transmitters and satellites in the world gets my vote.

Could you edit the entry to remove the surname? There's a couple of people (family mainly) I'd prefer not to be able to web-search me with any unintentional help. ross on it's own is ambiguous and gives zillions of results. Together with the surname that drops to a big arrow pointing right at me. Thank you :o)

I'm surprised and glad that Brian won! Last night I had a very satisfactory evening of television due to getting home early doors - both episodes of Hollyoaks (C4 and E4), House and CSI:CSI on Five US, then just in time to see Brian being cheered by his adoring public. Aww. Oh yes! The other day I caught the last five minutes of an episode of The Fall Guy (Five US again, I think). I had no idea this programme existed! I thought it was a parody at first but then boyofbadgers informed me that it was in fact the subject of future parody. In other words, AWESOME. Worth it for the hairdos alone!

- see how totally gullible i am? - you ( & others ) had me gompletely gonvinced yesterday lunchtime that the twinnies were gonna win - i really enjoyed watching the bb live final last nite ( had to work late & only just got home in time - in state of panic as i hadn't set the vid )

the fall guy: is it the one w/a post six million dollar man lee majors as a grime fighting stuntman? - i usta like it in my youth - perhaps the theme tune ( sung i think by majors -a tribute to d.waterman, obv ) wld go down well at poptimism? ( - when you're trying to get rid of ppl at chucking out time )

just remembered: jo ann pflug!

- it was a present from my friend tony lee ( who = much more well travelled than i am ) - so it has sentimental value - plus it is a multipurpose device: keeping the sun off my bald pate on hot days & the rain off my spectacles when wet

( if i recall gorrectly the u.s.s. wisconsin = a museum ship in virginia...? )

also i am a big fan of cheese - & i understand from the film thank you for smoking that wisconsin = the cheese gapital of the united states

Oh dear, my friend indigo_violet also got mistaken for Tracey from BB... someone came up to her and asked if she was Tracey while Tracey was still in the house. After it happened the second time, she was extremely MIFFED and changed her hair colour :(

oh well - there are twits everywhere i guess - i'm sure rachael will ride it out until gurning jimmy savile lookalike tracey is forgotten - she was "mrs pink hair" when i met her ( ten yrs plus ago ) - & i suspect will be for a long while yet

( due to my "uncanny" powers of prediction: next time i see rachael - she'll have gone green...! )
