ross ( who some of you might know - or remember from the xmen fan glub or uk gomics fanzines of the 1980s ) has got loads & loads of vhs video tapes he's hoping to get rid of - some featuring glassic material never seen on dvd - & others just w/the goob stuff that mebbee you haven't got yet - for FREE except for the gost of postage ( & if you're getting loads & loads then maybe you cld buy him a drink or summat )
a few of his treasures (the merest drop in the ocean) that caught my eye: scum (the tv version), meet marlon brando (1966), the bogie man (telly adaptation of gomic) , dennis potter's karaoke & cold lazarus, o lucky man ("chocolate sandwich!") and - somewhat bizarrely - the young indiana jones ghronicles

ITEM! we spent a luvly long relaxing bank holiday weekend in whitstable staying w/our friends rachael & jo at their beautiful new seafront house - eating & drinking* & laffing & chatting & swimming & paddling & exploring the nearby woods & hill walking ( i got "tricked" into the last two activities, obv ) - except for the sunday morning repeat of match of the day i never watched any telly the whole time we were there - which probly didn't do me any harm ( - shake, twitch, gibber )
* & drinking - & drinking - & drinking - & drinking - & drinking - etc etc
as a result of these out of doors exertions my usually pale & uninteresting head = a great big blobby red tomato boat race ( w/white spaces if i take my glasses off ) ( this is despite liberal applications of sunscreen & aftersun - & the wearing of my beloved u.s.s. wisconsin baseball cap )
ITEM! big brother isn't entirely down the dumper, at least in whitstable - when we were out in the town on friday nite some twit across the road shouted " AVE IT, TRACEY " at rachael presumably cos she's got the pink hair ( not that this spoiled our happy mood )
gongratulations to brian the brain, btw - newly crowned winner of bb 2007 - his success = all down to noel edmonds' book on gosmic ordering, apparently
ITEM! star spot last monday: brix e smith ex of the fall & the adult net - w/entourage - in the beer garden of the royal naval reserve pub (shepherd neame) on whitstable high street - she = still q.beautiful ( tho she mightve had "some work done" ), wearing black & talking q.loud ( holding court abt designer fashions as far as i could earwig )
double points as we'd already been in a pub with her esteemed ex hubbie - at all tomorrow's parties a few years back - the fall played the previous eve ( followed by public enemy - a two hr plus set incl. flavor flav's jazz drumming )
