Just A Thought
I recently heard some stupid celebrity on one of those interview shows waxing poetic about chronic depression and bipolar disorder and how many/most famous artists have been plagued with some kind of mental disease. "Perhaps it allows you to access those emotions the normal people cannot readily feel".
Anyway, it was pretty stupid, but it got me thinking. Maybe I need to do something crazy or have something wrong with me so history will remember me as having to struggle to succeed.
You know? People would walk by my painting in some gallery somewhere in New York and they'd be all like "Oh wow a Eric Summers... Now that guy was fucked up!", and then they'd go on to the next work of art.
It's just a thought.
