I used to manage a Blockbuster. I have heard all the mailbox/library sob stories. It's very sad, indeed. I understand how it could happen and I know it's something I could easily do myself, but I did particularly love it when people would blame ME for not being able to find their movie in this arbitrary mailbox or library dropbox. Sigh. How I loved retail.

I think your potential boss will admire your spunk and personality. No sense in being boring. No one likes working with boring people.
