So I drove to Columbus, OH to B's parents' house. Then his very nice dad drove us to the airport. Then there was the flight to NY. Then there was the cab ride from hell from the airport to our hotel where we met up with C (yes, I had to go all the way to NYC to get to see C who only lives 2 miles from my house). There was trekking around Queens to check out neighborhoods in which B might live. There was visiting B's new campus. Dave Letterman's show audience participation was Thursday afternoon. That was some trip. I felt like a mass produced product coming out of there, but it was fun. We all met S in the city Thursday evening for dinner in Hell's Kitchen. Friday there was more trekking in Queen's. Friday night was going out with S and his little friend and getting way drunk at who knows where. Bar, bar, club. Meeting a very drunken S. Loads of cash thrown at bartenders for drinks. Dancing to '80s music. Saturday C left for Indiana. B and I met up with Mandi and hung out with her after we watched Blades of Glory in the city. I can't believe B talked me into watching that movie. It was great getting to see Mandi after I hadn't seen her for so long. I made me realize just how much I miss her. So every minute with her was great. We did shopping (and she picked out a kick ass jacket for me). She took us to some piano bar on Christopher Street where gay men belted out Broadway show tunes. M would have been in heaven. Mandi will be in Indiana soon to visit Erika's baby, so I get to see her again soon. Yay! Sunday was the trip back to Indiana with the stop in Columbus to again meet up with my car. B's parents were again adorably sweet. I stopped in Indy to have my late "birthday" dinner with Liz. We talked forever. All in all, it was a great long weekend.
Now M is dragging me out when I could really just sleep all night...
