An interesting reaction.
So I just read a bit of a poem to a group, and they then offered verbal critique on it. I felt very odd whilst they did this.
I felt naked.
There is a difference between being nude, which is without clothing and comfortable with that, and being naked, in which you feel exposed and uncomfortable.
I felt exposed, as if this poem, which in no part described or even touched on me, laid me bare for their scrutiny and judgment.
This is not to say that there's anything wrong with this, I like feedback and critique. I'm just not used to this reaction or this feeling.
