So many choices...

I can't figure out which way to focus as far as a bass rig is concerned. I'll probably go with either a Peavey or a seld-made speaker cabinet, but an amp...too many choices. So far I'm thinking it's between Mesa Boogie and Ampeg. Maybe Carvin...the prices for the Boogie and Ampeg amps I'm looking at are essentially the same. Carvin would be the cheaper. Ideally, I'd like an amp with some kickass overdrive. But then if it doesn't I could possibly invest in a Line 6 Bass Pod.

There is a song by Crossfade in which I believe the chorus describes college pretty well:
Holding on is harder than it seems
When you're reaching for so much more
Seems so much easier to just give in
When you're reaching for so much more

Man oh man how simple it would be to just drop and get a job that pays some real money. But this would screw me to no end. Since I'd never be satisfied with jobs and I'd live a miserable existence. And a miserable existence is not kosher.

I should become a jew since I use the kosher term a lot. Although if I did I would never be truly accepted as a man of the faith becuase of the folks that are in for life. You know, the ones that call themselves the Jewish "Race." It will never cease to amaze me that even at the collegiate level they are teaching us that a religion is a race. For instance there were lectures about early 1900s immigration. The groups we studied were things like African-Americans, Italian immigrants, Polish immigrants, Japanese immigrants, East European Jews...I'm not an anti-semitist, but what the hell? Do we refer to Christianity as a nation? Or how about Buddhism? Shit would hit the proverbial fan if certain Americans ever heard about a Christian nation. They'd be alright with the Buddhist one since it is the "in" religion or something. Not to bash my Zen brothers, they are a peaceful lot. Which is good. Gandhi had it right. Oh, and Jesus was a liberal.

Think about that.
