Here's a word to the wise: don't abuse your healthcare provider. Don't yell at, threaten or physically attack your healthcare provider. It's not big, it's not smart and it's not going to endear you to us.

We're there to make you better. Not comfortable. Consider comfort a perk to which your entitlement can and will be withdrawn. Nobody likes ( Read more... )

I'm used to hospitals where the only patients allowed to abuse you have a wing named after them.

It would be more concerning to find you weren't nervous. You'll feel better when you don't have someone regularly dropkicking your bladder, but try not to worry. Discomfort is normal. Contractions you'll know about.

While not too many of these viruses can be spread human to human, waiting rooms are the best places to catch something. I'd sooner be safe than sorry.

I didn't know you'd worked in a clinic. Nursing always has a high turnover; if the patients aren't treating them like crap, the doctors will be.

I try not to stalk the network for symptoms when I have enough work showing up at my door. Expectant mothers tend to have any number of worst case scenarios thought out. Often enough, that makes the real thing seem like a walk in the park.

And you only need to be extra paranoid for the next couple of weeks.

Some doctors treat the nurses very well. Though it depends on the nurse.
