Give a thought to the nearly 8000 men killed, and some 42,000 other men listed as casualties(wounded, captured or missing) during the Battle of Gettysburg, which began on this day in 1863 and will run for 3 long days . This is the bloodiest battle in American history and the reason why we still have one country instead of two (or more).
