When the shadows rain on your doorstep
Who do you turn to?
The shattering silence that accompanies it,
Swift and murderous by far.
His eyes; blank, emotionless,
Hold nothing
But a need for the untainted, uncorrupted;
Unattainable.

In a world dark with sorrow,
Where the spectres haunt the corridors;
What does salvation seek?
For it is not us who seek salvation,
But salvation that seeks us;
Bloody amongst the white sheep,
It comes unexpectedly,
Unharrowing.

A neverending search
For something worth fighting for
But what then, when you find nothing
To believe in
Nothing, but the companiable darkness,
Forever lingering in your life?

Integrity and morality hang thinly on
A silver string
Easily cut by the sharp blades of reality.

The world is lost.
