Technology was not my friend today

I spent 6 hours trying to figure out how to do something with a program that was not co-operating with this one particular program. Not only do I still not know why I couldn't make X happen in this one case, even after searching through help and searching through on-line troubleshooting, but I wasted hours and energy that I could have been using to do novel revisions. Aaargh! Aaargh! and Double-Aargh! And Argh-Cubed, too! Why, why, why!

Whew! Rant over.

But it is why I don't completely love technology. When all goes well, it saves a lot of time, and can save resources, (and how else would I have met such lovely people as all my LiveJournal friends?), but when it doesn't work, it eats time like a bear in a fall berry patch.

At least it prompted me to upgrade my program. Now if that's the answer to my problem, all will be well.

Tomorrow is another day, even if I don't want to go back to Tara.
