I'm sleepy, so the pics from last weekend's Baltimore Comic Con will only be accompanied by the barest of commentary. Let's get started, shall we?
The show was in a different hall in the convention center this year, but fortunately I had Anakin, Obi-Wan, and a random Stormtrooper to point me in the right direction. I'm still not clear on whether these guys were officially working for the show, but they manned their post on the corner of Pratt Street for quite some time.
The Saturday crowd was crazy huge this year. You're looking at two sections of the same line here. It wrapped around the convention center's lobby (which is, for the record, massive). In no rush to get in, I got some caffeine and grabbed a seat above the chaos.
Once in, the
Ten Ton Studios booth was one of the first places I stopped. Before the first day was up, artists Jason Baroody (on the left) and Khoi Pham (on the right) would draw me a Golden Age Sandman and a Hunter Rose Grendel, respectively.
A bulky Snake Eyes.
This guy split his time posing like a bad-ass and accompanying his two sons around the con floor. He seems to walk that delicate line that defines him as a cool dad rather than an embarrassing one.
trelina came with me on Sunday, and we hung out with our friend Greg most of the day.
I had a smudge on my camera lens in this shot, but I sort of like what it does for the Baroness. Snake Eyes looks bad-ass (naturally), and the motivations of Cobra Commander suddenly make so much more sense (hint: think Napoleon).
Sweet Spidey costume. Love the pose too.
