When I was young, I did not believe in what they said that if you’re friends and one of you has feelings for the other, the friendship you have will surely end. I thought it was ridiculous. I mean, if you are friends, then shouldn’t you consider each other’s feelings and enlighten the situation until you get an answer that favors both sides? Shouldn’t you accept whole-heartedly each other’s decisions and respect it? What does liking your best friend have to do with the ruining the friendship? How can you call yourselves best friends if you will not understand each other and you’ll let your friendship be ruined?! What’s the matter with your best friend liking you? Couldn’t you stay friends?
Close friend to love to heartache to barely an acquaintance that only call on Christmas, New Year and sometimes even forgets your birthday. I thought it was very fictional, something that would only happen in movie or book where the director or author manipulates the characters to do so; so they can break the hearts of those teen girls and make them cry and lean their heads on their boy friend’s shoulder or call him at 2 a.m. because she can’t believe what her own two eyes just read. It’s ridiculous, this whole given situation. I actually believed that it would never happen to me; since I’m not a fictional character and I don’t think have the looks to play any role at any movie. Yay me. I get to live ascetically, where there is no drama and no tears. However, I was wrong, so very bluntly wrong.
I lost my best friend. I lost the first and most likely the last love of my life. I lost Sho Sakurai.
