Cara's first movie ...
Well, not in the theater, but her first movie at home anyway. She's been talking about "doovies" a lot lately (if she hears Rob put one on when she goes down for a nap or to bed at night), so we decided to give it a go. She doesn't watch much TV. The only "kid" show she really watches is Sesame Street, and even then it's usually only when she's sick. She does watch some talent shows though, like "The Voice" or "America's Got Talent", with us, but they don't usually hold her attention for long (which is fine with us) and she goes off to play in between acts. So I wasn't sure how she'd do with a 90 minute movie, but I figured it was worth a try.
We decided on "Finding Nemo" - since she loves fishies and we enjoy this movie too. And although there are a few scary scenes, overall it seems less so than some of the other Disney movies.
She loved it. Watched intently the entire time. I don't know how much of it she understood, but she's been talking about Nemo and Dori and "swimming in the water" all night.
Better yet? She snuggled right on in with Mommy for the second half of the movie. Couldn't ask for more.
