Strawberry Fields Forever...
I'm meant to be writing an essay on Hitler's rise to power using force and popular appeal, however I'm just not in the mood. I mean it's holidays for heavens sake! They're meant to be a break from schoolwork; but no not for me, I have four assignments instead!! The most depressing part is that this time last week I was at the beach with two of my best friends having an absolutely awesome time.
Isn't it weird how when your doing something, having a fabulous time you realise that it can't last forever, and on a later date you'll be looking back at this time as a memory, and wishing you were still there. Has anyone ever done that? I was thinking about that when I was at the beach; about how it was going to become another fond memory…philosophical
Went to Jordana's house for a couple of days. We rode bikes into Bungendore to get groceries and lunch - one of which was a little kids bike and was slightly awkward to ride, but we took it in turns to ride it. On the first night we tried to make a movie, but we spent to long making our costumes - we we're trying to look like drag queens, but she only had black clothes so I ended up looking like I was going to a funeral and she ended up looking like a hooker - that we didn't have time to think of a story (and we couldn't) so we improvised. It was hilarious! I can't act for shit, and we were just being stupid. Then we made a spooky movie with flashing skull masks in a pitch-black room to a nightmare before Christmas song. The next day jordana's friend Alice came over and we just watched movies until I fell asleep (they continued). And I left early in the morning. Jordana's step dad gave me a lift to civic, and then my mum made me catch the bus home, which was so embarrassing because I had a suitcase and a pillow - I was lucky my sleeping bag fitted in my luggage. And I had to hang around at Woden interchange for half an hour because my bus arrived just as my connecting bus left. grrr
Yesterday afternoon/last night I went to Bentons for a games day/movie night with my school friends; Katie, Steph, Benton, and Tim. It was fun, we should do it again! I can't believe I've so slack that that was the first time I'd ever seen them in the holidays even though I've known them for over a year! We played x-box Nintendo, and a boring board game that Katie and I didn't like; some haunted house thing - it took an hour! Then we played rummy, which I was introduced to last week while down the coast - I love it. Then Steph had to go after dinner (Turkish!) and the rest of us watched 'wedding crashers' which is an alright movie, but Katie was so cute she kept squeaking and whining like a dog when good or bad things were happening, lol. She's going to be so funny on Monday when we have our chick flick movie night at Sameena's! We were going to borrow 'Saw' that would have been hilarious! She would have been screaming and hiding the entire film.
Anyway, should try and get some more essay done… it's a really hard question! And I have no idea how to do it!! L
