Today I went to Tuggeranong college grounds to play basketball and soccer with my friends Nourah, Sophie, Mark and Tessa. It was good fun, and it was only the second time ever all five of us have been together without someone else. This is a big thing because we have an extended group of friends I refer to as 'the nine' who consist of my old high school friends, and within this group over the years we have had constantly changing smaller sub-groups. However for the past six months it's been us five as one sub-group, however we've never managed to do anything with all of us present and on our own up until a week or so ago. This is fantastic that it finally happened, yet bad in a way due to the fact that it is because there has been a rift in the nine. I will not go into details, but it has left us taking sides, - even if we were not directly involved - which is something I didn't want to do. Nonetheless I am closer friends with my 'five' sub-group and agree with their point of view slightly more. There is a down side though; as long as this rift continues to exist I'll hardly get to see my friends who are on the opposing side - most of whom I've got no problem with - as it is holidays for the following two weeks, and we do not go to school together anymore anyway.
I forgotten the point of that story… It's explained some stuff though…
Earlier this evening I went to a hangi with Mark and his parents at Marks mother's Uni. A hangi is a way of cooking food in a pit in the ground which has a fire underneath igneous rocks ontop of which food that is rapped up (in various ways, depending) is placed and then earth covers the whole in to make like an oven underneath the ground which you then leave to cook for a few ours. The food was so nice! Sorry, I'm not quite sure which country it was from - islanders. It was very filling and I had a great time.
I've just about finished my mix CD, yay! I just have to decide what to kick off to fit in a Gomez song. I think it might end up being Kings of Leon, even though they're really good (music wise), something has to go, and I say it's punishment for them being a shit band live! I saw them at the Big Day Out in Sydney and they absolutely sucked! They didn't entertain at all; they just stood there playing without even moving! It reminded me of that film clip of Shania twain's 'Man I Feel Like a Woman' where the guys in the background hardly moved while playing their instruments - that’s what Kings of Leon looked like live, they didn't even say anything when they finished, they just walked off the stage! I haven't finished the covers either though. It's really hard to make creative ones, as my computer doesn't have a 'paint' sort of program (it's an e-mac) downloaded on it, so I have to try and make it in 'word', which is really hard. Also, the CD-ROM is stuffed and won't burn my CD!! grrr. So really I still have a long way to go, but one day (I know I keep saying this) I'll finish them, and finally give them to my friends. I think I'm the only one who hasn't yet…
ooo, i almost forgot, - well i did yesterday - belated HAPPY EASTER!! hope you all got lots of chocolate!!
