So today was the family 4th of July party, I went swimming for the first time since 12th grade gym class, it was nice. The house that I was at has a large in-ground pool. I love swimming down to the bottom. Yesterday I went to Showplace to see Lost Cause and some other bands. It was fun, Lost Cause was definitely the loudest and most exciting one there. On Thursday I hung out with Andy and saw Fahrenheit 9/11. On Wednesday I played tennis with Maggie and did the rec dept adult lessons for 2.5 hours which resulted in being sore for 2 days, but it was cool. We learned how to put spin on our serves! And we had some nice rallies when we just hit the ball between the two of us for half an hour which is cool cause at least we haven't regressed as much as we thought we would have after not playing since last summer. I want to find someone to play against at Fredonia. And some 17 year old girl, I don't remember her name, won the women's title at Wimbledon which makes me happy because for years the Williams sisters won everything and they were always seemed really kinda full of themselves in interviews, like they were entitled to win or something and nothing else mattered as long as they won. Tomorrow I'm supposed to go to the Goo Goo Dolls concert downtown; I hope it doesn't rain. If it does then it will be moved to Monday, but it's supposed to rain on Monday too...But they're supposed to make a dvd of it for release around Thanksgiving, so no show = no dvd = no money for them, so maybe even if it does rain both days they'll at least try to do it.
Also, my high school marching band is supposedly doing the Macy's Thanksgiving parade this year which is cool for them and makes me sorta jealous. And Maggie and I are playing in the pit for the youth bureau's production of Guys and Dolls which will be fun except the music is alot harder than what it was like last year for The Sound of Music, its kinda like what George M! was, but I've worked on it a bit and I'm so glad that I did all that work on other positions because unlike last year, I'm going to be shifting alot but it doesn't scare me as much as it used to. And I've had a few lessons for my orchestra music and the piece that I'm working on (Fredonia hired a new teacher and everyone except seniors and people giving their recitals soon have her) and I can actually play all of the Overture to Candide so that makes me happy.
I think that's all for now, I keep going back and editing this thing to include things that I forgot...
I'm so excited for tomorrow, or Monday!
