This last part is like...the only part I'm not totally ashamed of. No overload of mushiness, not horrible mutation into a weak character =P It's the only one of the three parts that I still actually like ^^;;; The slightly convenient dialogue at the end still makes me ashamed though =___=

Yamapi looked around the hospital room, with a heartbreakingly sad smile, at the now empty hospital bed. This was the room where Jin had died. The sheets that had once covered Jin’s still body were now gone and replaced with new sheets, just as the hospital bed that Jin had once lay in was now being prepared for a new patient, a new person who was not Jin. This would…be the last time Yamapi would be able to see Jin lying on the bed…

Even though Jin had been gone for months…

Yamapi buried his face in his arm, not even bothering to hide the tears coming anymore. There was no point; he had cried so much, cried so much for Jin, for Kazuya, for the fact that he had been unable to do anything for them…

He gazed around the hospital room with a sad look.

Even now, he could still see Jin’s still form…

And he could still remembering the painful sound of his heart when the long beep had come from the heart monitor at the end of it all…

They had killed Jin...

Even though he knew...

It had probably been the right thing to do...

But despite the fact that it had happened months ago...

He could not stop the hurting...the pain...

“Pi…”

He looked up when Jin suddenly spoke when a silence settled between them. He noticed that Jin was speaking quietly and he had to work to keep back the smile when he saw that Kazuya had fallen asleep, head on Jin’s lap and Jin’s hand was unconsciously running through the smaller man’s hair.

“Yeah?” he asked just as quietly.

Jin smiled at him, “You’ll take of Kazu-chan while I’m gone, won’t you?”

Pi laughed, “What are you saying Jin? Of course I will - you’ll only be gone two weeks anyways”

“…but I worry about Kazu-chan” Jin said with a pout, “He always sounds so sad when I go out of town for work”

Yamapi laughed, “…don’t worry; you don’t even have to ask me to look after Kazu-chan; I’ll do it even if you tell me not to”

Jin grinned, “Good; I know I can depend on you!”

He could not take it…

Tears blurred his vision and he bolted out of the room. As his feet led out the door, his vision too obscured by his tears to see, he suddenly slammed into something. Yamapi groaned as he lay sprawled on the floor. He slowly sat up, but the tears kept coming and he could only sit there, looking down and crying, overwhelmed by the grief he still felt.

"Sorry...sorry..." he whispered through his tears, and for a moment, he was not sure himself who he was talking to anymore: the ghosts of Jin and Kazuya, or whoever he had just ran into.

Suddenly, he felt a hand on his back and another clutched his hand and he was pulled up.

"You've really become a sorry sight..."

Yamapi paused, wiping at his eyes. He knew that voice. He blinked through his tears, ducking his head to keep the other man from seeing his tears. When he finally looked up, he stared at Ryo, "What are you doing here?"

"What do you think I'm doing here idiot? The others were worried about you so they called me"

"And you came running just for me?" Yamapi asked, trying to make his voice sound light but failing when his voice cracked just a little.

Ryo hit Yamapi lightly over the head, "Idiot. Do you think Jin and Kazuya would want you to do this to yourself, wasting away like this? Just like Kazuya did? You can't do anything more for them but you did enough for them, don't you think? They're together in death now aren't they?"

"But...it hurts..." Yamapi whispered, "It's like...if I had done more...they'd still be here"

"Here, there...what does it matter if they're together and probably really happy right now?" Ryo rolled his eyes and Yamapi was surprised at the profoundness coming from Ryo, "Besides, if they're not happy, it's probably because you're making them so sad by doing this"

Yamapi stilled.

Ryo kept his hand on Yamapi's back, guiding him toward the exit of the hospital, "C'mon, the others are worried"

Yamapi did not protest but let himself get led away.

"Do you think...they're really happy together right now?" Yamapi asked softly, quietly.

Ryo looked down for a moment and diverted his gaze ahead as he answered, "I do"

"That's good..." Yamapi said, tears welling up in his eyes once more but a small hint of a smile threatening to show on his face at that thought.

"Idiot...c'mon, let's go"

"Ryo?"

“Yeah, what?”

"...I don't want to make them sad...so...I'll try to stop crying"

"Idiot. It doesn't matter if you cry . Just don't stop living because that will only hurt them"

"...okay...I'll try to live again..."

"Good"
