2010 Year in Review

CAREER
I had an interesting year as far as work is concerned, and financially the best of my life. I began the year finishing up The OCD Project for two months, followed immediately by four months of near unemployment. Several interviews that went great and then never materialized. I got two jobs in a row with raises, then both fell through and it looked like I was going to have a year even worse than 2009. Finally landed another raise for Plain Jane, my second series premiere episode, and again I delivered it early. No time off and yet another raise with What's Eating You, a challenging show I feel I excelled on, earning credits on four out of six episodes. I decided I want to be an editor. No time off again and on to my current show, where I am now an Editor! Very exciting and I am proud of myself.

I maxed out my Roth IRA and hope to do the same next year.

PERSONAL
Chelsea moved in with me in April and now it's hard for me to remember a time that we didn't live together. I love her and our life together with all my heart.

Also in April I started going to therapy again, which is going ok. I'm not a hundred percent sure my therapist is a perfect fit for me, but so far it's been worth it.

Too much entertainment! Before Chelsea moved in, I didn't even have an antennae on my TV, just a dvd player. Now we have U-verse cable with HBO On Demand, DVR, Wii with streaming Netflix, and just today PS3 with Move. It's so much!

Had the best day of my life, performing the wedding ceremony for my best friends!

JAN 1, 2010 WEIGHT: 185
CURRENT WEIGHT: 200
Indeed I gained fifteen pounds this year overall, a combination of nesting weight, working too hard and quitting smoking and drinking. I haven't had a drink or a cigarette in nine months. I want to be really serious about fitness in 2011.

I started my second series of paintings and I'm fairly happy about the results. Having good brushes makes a difference. I finally bought an easel for the first time in my life, I'll be putting it together soon.

I finished writing a feature script... and it's terrible! I may go back and rewrite it someday, but my heart's not in it for now. But my only goal was to finish it, so hooray! Now I'd like to write a good one.

RESOLUTIONS FOR 2010
1) Start more paintings (no longer foolish enough to think I can finish a series in a year)
2) Invest more.
3) Go on a longer vacation.
4) Generally continue with fitness. Specifically, I want to be able to do a set of pull-ups.
5) Finish my feature length script.
6) Learn to silkscreen.
7) Continue learning to ink with a brush.
8) Quit smoking.
9) Love Chelsea like she's never been loved before. And then love her some more.
10) Continue being awesome.
