Well done, Pennsylvania, with the voting. Six weeks of primary fever, and in the end...the big picture is almost completely unchanged. PA doesn't even get to look clever for keeping our primary in April, instead of moving it forward. We had our chance to play kingmaker, and in the end, we didn't really matter at all.
The only net result, for me, is that I like both candidates a lot less than I did a couple of months ago. I knew that they'd have to start slinging mud eventually; I'm not stupid. I just sort of hoped they would wait for the general, or for a few more months, at least. I said repeatedly that I don't like to pick a favorite during the primaries, because I end up disgusted with all of them, but this time I didn't even have the option of having it decided before it got to me. I'm not sure why I thought that maybe this time, we'd have a campaign about the issues instead of the personalities. I always think that, and it never happens.
