Long Day
Hey, I have baby peppers. They are sooo cute, just the size of thimbles. I hope they get bigger. One plant shot out about 10 blooms. I have never grown them before so I don't know how it will do with all that.
This morning I went to a reenactment camp to see what it was like. It was great. It was Cavalry and there must have been 50 soldiers and horses. I took what I hope will be some nice photos (I am not sure if the film got baked in NY or not). I will post them if they turn out. I couldn't stay too long, but you could have breakfast with the troops if you wanted to.
I cooked up the eggplant tonight. I added some breadcrumbs, a little Asiago, and a sliced up variety of small tomatoes. It was delicious. Hopefully I will be able to cook up an eggplant with tomatoes, pepper and basil all from my garden before the summer is out. That would really be something. Too bad the dirt is terrible. All things considered I guess it is all doing ok.
The moving company sent a guy to the house to view and fix some things. They broke my family (as in from when I was a kid) picnic basket. It is wood and metal lined. I still had a piece from a slat that was in the packaging material. Another one was gone altogether and they won't let the guy fix it. He said I would get replacement value ($125) and I asked what he would charge to fix it. He said $150. Needless to say, he doesn't get the job. I hope they just pay us for the rest.
We also had some window treatments installed and I baked a banana nut zucchini carrot raisin bread, cookies, and banana pudding. We had some bananas around that needed something to do. I think they are done now.
