On Wednesday of this week I got my CPAP machine. For those of you who don't know it's a machine that helps me breathe when I'm sleeping. Every time I get out of the habit of using my CPAP, and I start again, it always takes me three or four nights before I get sufficiently accustomed to it to sleep with it through the night.

I think it took me about two weeks to get used to the CPAP in the first place when I originally got it.

Ok, I had just gotten the call when I made the edit. It's not an oxygen bottle but an oxygen accumulator. I have to turn it on before going to bed and let it run for a bit. Yeah, I guess I wasn't breathing much at night.

Oh yeah. I've been looking for, hoping that there was a core problem that was exacerbating all my other problems, and the apnea sure fits the bill. If you're not sleeping you can't lose weight, your depression gets worse, blood pressure goes up, etc. Now that the apnea is being treated, there is the possibility that I'll be able to start putting much of the rest back in line.
