A Rainy Sunday
The time changes messes up everyone's internal clocks. Our schedule was thrown off even more since we had a plan to meet a friend of ours in Illiois for lunch so we didn't go to our usual brunch. It was a great lunch, however, with a chicken dinner and fixin's served family-style. Afterwards, we got a little local history and visited the town of Valmeyer that had been destroyed by the floods of '93 (so long ago already?) and rebuilt on higher ground.
On the way home we swung by Costco to fill up. While at $3.709 it was crazy expensive - yes, i know it's a lot pricier in other countries - is was at least 8₵ (remember when the "₵" symbol was readily available on the keyboard?) cheaper than elsewhere. Finally, we were in the neighborhood and so swung by to check in with Kevin & Chad, two of our dearest friends. All is well.
