On Friday, i finally got to get rid of my craptop - a stupid Lenovo that even had the "Cntl" and "Fn" keys backwards. They gave me a nice new Dell that is much nicer and sleeker. However, i had to go w/out a computer for the morning. i guess i really need to get an iPad, eh? But no matter. i was conducting interviews of a couple of recent college grads who had applied for jobs with the BACC (Big Ass Consulting Company). i was kinda nervous at first, but we had training and guidelines and it actually went ok. One of the guys was a lot like me and the other was a pretentious little 1%'er from back east who's going to STL's "Ivy League" school. Both will do just fine with the BACC, so we gave them a go.

In the afternoon, we had communications between London, LA, Chicago, St Louis and Cincinati and we worked out that my new project will be in...

...Edgewater, NJ, just across the Hudson from Manhattan!

This is the project i've been wanting to get. Hopefully they land the contract. So they don't quite need me now...but i wanted to take some of my bazillion hours of PTO that i have saved up (258 hours as of today!) so i'm taking next week before Thxgiving, doing a training course the week after, and then going to Hawaii as planned so i'll start on 12/13 after we get back. i may not actually fly there that week. We'll see what happens. But this is a good thing so we'll end the year on a positive note looking into next year. New year, new beginning. We'll see.
