Sunday was the Show-Me Bears' annual picnic in Tower Grove Park. We couldn't have asked for better weather and, as always, LOTS of food. We brought the kids and they got lots of lovin' too. We signed up for our volunteer slots for Hibearnation which is only 7 weeks away!!
The cake may be a lie, but the pie is the truth! Matt made a peach and a cherry/blueberry pie for the picnic. The bears went wild and they were incredible!!
After the picnic, it was home for puppy play and napping.
For something different, we went over to the Loop for the evening. First we stopped by Ben & Jerry's and i tried "Schweddy Balls" which was vanilla laced with rum and chewy malt balls. Strangely good, but i don't think i'll have it again. Then we walked down to the Tivoli for cult movie night. Nicholas Roeg's "The Man Who Fell To Earth" starring David Bowie, Candy Clark, Rip Torn and Buck Henry as a successful gay man in the '70s. Controversial in it's day, we were surprised how much we remembered after not seeing it for twenty-something years.
