Ev'ry Time i Go Away
it was exceptionally hard to leave this morning. When my alarm went off at 4:30, i wrapped my arms around Matt to kiss him goodbye and he held onto my arm. It took everything to eventually pull away and get ready to go. And as i stood on the sidewalk waiting for the cab, it took everything not to go back in the house and go back to bed. But we do what we must. Unbeknownst to me, our buddy Lance wound up on the same flight as i did. It was good to have someone to chat with while we waited. A typical day at work, though a nasty snow storm moved in. We got about 3" in Minneapolis, though the drifts were about 5 or so. Fortunately, everyone left their work early and the afternoon drives were a mess. By the time i left at 7, it was snowy and slow, but not much traffic. Go me! Lance's flight got cancelled, so i put him up with me at the Westin and he'll get out today. It was nice to have the company.
