Fifty Years After That Last Picture

After an insanely busy day at work - damn, this job has a steep learning curve - i left early to get home so Matt could take me out to dinner for my birthday. Of course, the torrential rain in STL, the rain in MSP and the fact that they're doing maintenance on one of the runways cause my early flight to get delayed back into the timeslot i'm usually on. So my birthday dinner consisted of a bag of cheese-filled crackers and a few drinks with Peg the bartender at the lounge.

Robert likes to make birthday cakes for those He cares about and asked me what kind i wanted. i was trying to think and i mentioned that actually i like pie better than cake. So He made me a cherry pie. From scratch! Whipped cream too! It was amazing!!!! Everyone who has a birthday gets a "Flaming Queen" from Richard at the bar. Not bad even though i had to let it burn longer for this shot. LOL I'm not sure what all is in it...i tasted vodka and Baileys and there might have been something else besides.

So it was pretty low key. Which is just fine with me. And it's over and done with. Which is also fine with me.
A special "Thank You!" to all of you for the well-wishes. i've been so busy with work that i haven't had time to respond. But i will! WOOF!
