i really love NPR. i try to listen to "Morning Edition" every morning while i get up so i can get a good idea about what's going on in the world and in the evening, "All Things Considered" and "Marketplace". On the weekends, i love the features like "Wait-Wait-Don't Tell me", "Waddayaknow?", "This American Life" and "Prairie Home Companion" among others. Just today, when we got home, i ran from the garage into the basement and listened to the remainder of a show while i folded laundry. Our local station, KWMU, was having their fund drive this past week or so and sure, it can be kinda annoying. But other than that couple times a year, there aren't stupid commercials and i get a lot out of it. And now that i'm in Minneapolis, not only do they have the news channel, MPR also has a great music channel, 89.3 - The Current. i guess i'll have to join there too. Heck, i pay ten bucks or more a month for HBO and that's just for Bill Maher and a couple of other things so it all works out. On top of that, they finally have an app so i can tune NPR stations on my iPhone which was the one thing i hated and it works pretty good. Not a great reciever, but a start.
