Making History
i couldn't sleep and was up at quarter to 5 this morning. i made coffee and let Matthew sleep while i got ready for work. i woke him up at 5:30 and we were at the polls 10 minutes later. The line had already stretched around the parking lot and down the block. And the lights of the cars stretched for blocks. It was electric. It was chilly, but we were so excited it didn't matter. We met our neighbors and our friends and made a few new ones. And as the sun came up on a new day dawning, i took my husband home.
